Message from the Chair

Creative Island Nakanoshima Executive Committee was established in 2019. However, in 2020, the full-scale launch of the Executive Committee, in a situation where the world was completely changed due to the impact of the COVID-19 and the economy and culture were greatly affected and difficult, I renewed my determination to reconsider the significance of the Executive Committee and realize that it is important to create co-creation that transcends the boundaries between organizations to pursue the future.

Nakanoshima has the potential to become a world-class creative island, and the creation of such an organization will serve as milestone for future breakthroughs. If a single facility is networked, a large synergy effect will be created instead of 1 + 1 being 2, and it will develop as one side. In the future, the challenge is what to practice and how to continue, but I am convinced that the intersection of the three "arts" of science, art, and technology will foster culture for the first time.

We aim to contribute to the development of Osaka, a city that drives the growth of the whole country, toward the realization of the 2025 Osaka and Kansai Expo and SDGs, along with proposals for the new era of COVID-19 through various initiatives through the largest creative network in Japan.
