Theatrical writer, small theorist, and creative presentation of Toshinori Okada "Stories of 15 Places in Nakanoshima" led by Chelfitche

Point 1 / Nakanoshima × Global Artist Expression

Creative Island Nakanoshima conducts creative projects by artists active in Japan and overseas on the unique Avenues of Osaka and Nakanoshima. In an era of visual emphasis, we dared to focus on language expressions and develop creative experiments utilizing meeting points. In 2018, theatrical writer, novelist, and the theater company chelfitsch led by Toshiki Okada, who is active in the world for works that capture modern society through unique language and physical expression, will create a story in the 15th place of Nakanoshima this summer.

Invitation to an imaginary journey that combines the original story of Point 2/15 with 15 locations

From Friday, November 1, 2024 15 original stories of waterfront environments, cultural facilities, high-rise buildings, historical culture, and futuristic sensibilities will be distributed at 15 meeting points in Nakanoshima. Kurushima visitors come to the actual place and are guided by words that read "one of them" in hand, and are invited on an imaginary journey where the scenery in front of you and the world view of the story overlaps.

Point 3/Pre-business in 2024 and development for the Expo 2025

In 2024, after Teru Miyamoto “Doro no kawa / Muddy River” and Kaoru Takamura “Shobe with Gold” in Nakanoshima, it will be a unique story experience involving real visits and travel. In 2025, we aim to connect to new creators and develop them with the theme of mixed expression between real and virtual through video and AI generation.
