Exchange Program vol.6 Science Agora in Osaka Roundtable “Dialogue for Life: Our Future to Live in the Corona Disaster”

The COVID-19 infection pandemic has taken away many lives, reduced the social, economic and cultural activities of people, and had various negative effects on the "world" that humans have built so far. The change in the structure of society as a whole was gradually progressing in the flow of time, but many things are changing rapidly under the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the self-restraint of going out and the expansion of telework, we have been deeply confronted with the values related to our own life, work, and the way of life itself. Under the two-year COVID-19 pandemic, what values will we share and explore a new way of society and a way of life as a person? In the post-COVID-19 environment, the Osaka and Kansai Expo will be held in 2025 under the theme of "Designing a Future Society that Shines Life". How do we rethink about "life" again and again, and how do we regain our lives and the economy, or innovate further? There is now a need for a dialogue for Dialogue. At "Science Agora in Osaka", we will hold a round table where people with different positions and perspectives can seriously talk about our future living in the COVID-19 pandemic, and where diverse values intersect.
