Date and time: Sunday, February 13, 2022 13:30 to 15:00
Location: Children's Book Forest Nakanoshima

On February 13th (Sun), a workshop for children to create maps with the image of the future Nakanoshima was held at Children's Book Mori Nakanoshima.
For elementary school 1st to 6th graders, 13 children participated.

At the beginning, the staff of the Children's Book Mori Nakanoshima explained the facilities and how to use them in front of the large staircase on the 2nd floor, and then the members of the The Nakanoshima future city planning council talked about the characteristics and charm of Nakanoshima while touching on the activities of Creative Island Nakanoshima.

After the explanation, move to the first floor, divide into two teams and start creating maps.

At first, children who could not move their hands also completed the map while inspiring through conversations with the staff and referring to books.

Children in the upper grades of elementary school draw a mission lottery and "Let's think about a place where you can interact with creatures!" "Let's think about a place where concerts can be held!" And other buildings were added.

We held a commemorative photo and a presentation with the completed map last.
At the recital, the children explained what kind of facilities they drew and how to move.

As an exchange project for Creative Island Nakanoshima, a workshop for children was the first attempt, but a wonderful map full of ideas was completed, making it a very meaningful program.
In order to spread the activities of Creative Island Nakanoshima, I would like to actively hold events for parents and children.
"Nakanoshi Map" created by children is on display at <Art Area B1> on the basement floor of Keihan Naniwabashi Station until March 31st.

Please take a look at the map of Nakanoshima that children created with the image of the future of Nakanoshima.
