"Hitoma Joruri" is a creative project by Yasumasa Morimura, one of Japan's leading artists, and Kanjuro Kiritake, a human national treasure for the human form of Joruri Bunraku, a world-class traditional performing arts. Morimura wrote the original floor book "New Kagami Keiki Tan" in order to explore "What is human" and "What is human joruri?" On this floor book, Seisuke Tsurusawa, who plays the first line in the human form Joruri Bunraku, composed and played the shamisen, Tayu Takemotori talks, Morimura becomes a human form, and Kanjuro creates Morimura's hands. An unprecedented new stage performance will be staged on February 26, 27, pursuing the possibilities of new expressions created from the relationship of "life" in "form" and being sent / sent.

One and a half months before the performance, there was a dialogue between Yasumasa Morimura and Kanjuro Kiritake, and in November last year, editor-in-chief Seigo Matsuoka and Morimura held a dialogue at Mii-dera Temple in Oomi, a place related to Semimaru, known as the god of entertainment. Together, these two were distributed online as a special talk that will be performed as a commemorative performance for the opening of Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka.

Part 1 "Morimura x Kanjuro" talked a lot about the origins of art and creative drama performed by Bunraku from the beginning of 2020, the process for completing a new work, the difficulty and fun of manipulating it, and the true intentions of creating a world that no one has ever seen. Part 2 "Morimura x Seigo" is held at Mii-dera Temple, which has a history of 1300 years after visiting the shrines where the god of performing arts is enshrined, and Matsuoka, a giant of knowledge, talked passionately about the world of Ruri, transcending times and countries, with painters and writers from the east and west of the modern era, about the sources of creation that pulse from the early modern era.
