Festival Hall has received enthusiastic support from musicians and music fans as it is described as "the sound falls from the ceiling." Where is the secret of this charm? In this event, which was attended by 135 visitors and 152 live streams, we explored the secrets through experiments to compare the performances of Hiroshi Kondo, a cello top player of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, and commentary by Professor Ryota Shimokura, associate professor specializing in acoustics, etc.The University of Osaka.


In the first half, visitors moved to the front seats on the first floor, the back of the first floor, and the third floor seats to see differences in listening due to differences in seat positions, and in the seat behind the first floor seats, We listened to the differences in listening styles due to differences in performance positions on the stage.


The second half is a talk session with live streaming. Mr. Kondo talked about the charm of Festival Hall and the ingenuity of playing in the hall, and Mr. Shimokura explained the sound of the hall, the shape and the role of the diffusion body on the wall from the viewpoint of acoustics.
The end was concluded with a special performance by Mr. Kondo, and visitors and viewers were able to experience the difference in the sound depending on the seat, it was a wonderful sound wherever you listened, the explanation was easy to understand and interesting, the project I wanted to continue, and I wanted to listen to music again in the music hall.
