Science Agora in Osaka
Butterfly effect of water city Osaka: People, towns, and world surrounding life

Since modern times, cities have been improved by science and technology, people's life has been extended, and life has become convenient and richer. On the other hand, we are creating challenges that threaten nature and the earth itself. Furthermore, in the 2020s, humanity learned that everyone is a "person in need of help" through coronavirus. Once again, each and every one of us is required to return to the consciousness of the "life" that lives on the earth and act.
"Butterfly effect" means that a very small event ultimately leads to a big event that had never been anticipated, and that seemingly unrelated affects unexpected places. It suggests that the consciousness and actions of each individual affect other "life" such as society and the global environment.
"Science Agora in Osaka" will be held in Nakanoshima from 2022 as a round table where diverse values intersect toward the Osaka and Kansai Expo 2025 "Designing a Future Society that Shines Life". This time, experts and practitioners in life, water environment, community development, architecture, disaster prevention, etc. gather to connect points and points of individual research and activities, draw lines and circles of thought and thought, and through the circulation of dialogue, deepen the discussion of the relationship between one person and the world.
