"Osaka Art & Design 2024" will be held at Art Area B1 on the 1st basement floor of Keihan Naniwabashi station for two weeks from May 29 (Wednesday) to June 11 (Tuesday), 2024. "Osaka Art & Design" (hereinafter "OAD"), which will be held for the second year, is a project aimed at promoting the creative appeal of Osaka to the world and revitalizing the art and design scene in the Kansai region. In response to the theme of OAD 2024, "Resonance: Expansion of Resonance", this exhibition builds new connections between creators active in Kansai, and creates seeds for future creation by intersecting diverse talents.

What is HIZO Market OSAKA Art & Design 2024?
In this exhibition, we will exhibit and sell unpublished works created by creators through trial and error, as well as valuable works that have been treasured so far. This is a special opportunity for renowned designers and creators such as Tomoaki Murata, Ken Miki, Shigeki Hattori, Toshikatsu Yanari, and nautical Eguchi (honorific title omitted) to purchase valuable works that are not usually available. This exhibition can be viewed and purchased online, and will be presented to Japan and overseas as a new creative market. The logo and design direction of this exhibition will be created by Ken Miki, a graphic designer representing Kansai, who is also an exhibitor, to form the identity of the HIZO market. In addition, the works on display will be archived as books, presented to creators and sold. Of the total profits obtained through this exhibition, we will donate the amount obtained by subtracting operating expenses as a support fund for the affected areas of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024. Choosing works on the HIZO market is not only an opportunity to enjoy art, but also to support areas affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and to foster creativity for creators. Please look forward to this exhibition as a treasure trove of creations that you haven't seen yet, and to foster new connections across generations and industries.
