Nakanoshima is an economic and cultural center of Osaka and a city that symbolizes the city of water. Like Nakanoshima, there are creative cities in the world where art and academic hubs such as museums, theaters and universities are concentrated. In response to the 2025 Osaka and Kansai Expo, we will hold the Nakanoshima Pavilion Festival, a symbol project with the entire Nakanoshima as a unique venue. Based on existing cultural facilities and architecture as a pavilion, we will utilize the space environment such as the waterside of parks and open spaces, and comprehensively disseminate the charm and potential of Nakanoshima, a treasure trove of world’s highest cultural assets. At the kick-off symposium, we will present the outline of the project for the first time and engage in dialogue with people who implement a sustainable co-creation ecosystem to draw ideas and prospects for next year. We hope that many people will join us in the first phase of our creative activities starting at All Nakanoshima.
