Prior to numerous national universities, The University of Osaka opened a comprehensive public course in 1968. This course has been rooted in the spirit of "pragmatic learning" and has developed lectures that deeply face society and humans. In this year's 57th course, we will reconsider the future of life and society from diverse perspectives, including infectious diseases, medical care, the latest technologies that support living, cultures and philosophy that enrich our hearts, and the way of the information society. We will create a "place" where science and humanities intersect knowledge and foster awareness and dialogue for a better future.
