Nakanoshima Pavilion Festival 2025 3rd Symposium "Nakanoshima Declaration: Let's Build a Bridge from Nakanoshima"

Nakanoshima is an island located in the center of Osaka, about 3 km east-west between Dojima River and Tosabori River.
It is a treasure trove of world-class cultural assets with a collection of Historic buildings, museums, libraries, parks, etc.
At the beginning of the Edo period, which began in 1603, Jyoan Yodoya built a bridge over Tosabori River at his own expense to reach Nakanoshima, and began to walk as a town of Kurayashiki, Nakanoshima continued to develop, and even today, various developments are underway to enhance international competitiveness.
Communicating the appeal and creativity of Nakanoshima, a fusion of historical, environmental, cultural assets, people, and goods to the world will lead to an increase in the brand value of Osaka and Kansai. In order to achieve this, it is essential for industry, government, academia and people to communicate across barriers and share ideas and actions for future society.
With the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, “All Nakanoshima” will bring together its strong spirit to the world as the “Nakanoshima Declaration”.
The main concept is to build a bridge, which was the key to the development of Nakanoshima.
Since Nakanoshima is made up of six "cho", this Nakanoshima declares to the world in order to connect creative development to the future through six bridges.
