Project meeting
“The Present of the Museum (11) – Hachinohe City Museum of Art”

A dialogue series on the current situation that shakes the foundation of the museum, "seeing and experiencing live works," caused by the spread of COVID-19 infection.
The 11th session welcomes Shinya Sato, Director of Hachinohe City Museum of Art. The Hachinohe City Museum of Art, which opened in 1986 and closed in 2017 for full rebuilding, opened its grand opening on November 3 and incorporates elements of town development and learning, centering on about 3,000 works collections. We aim to become a "Minna's Museum" through exhibitions and projects. Director Sato will talk about the concept of the new museum, "Art Farm for Encounter and Learning" and the opening commemorative project "Gifts, Gifts," and talk about the "now" of the COVID-19 pandemic and the future of the museum.
