Toshiki Okada
Born in Yokohama in 1973, lives in Kumamoto. Theatrical writer, novelist, presided over by Chelfitche. His activities are regarded as overturning the conventional concept of theater and are attracting attention both in Japan and overseas. Major awards include the 49th Kishida Kunio Drama Award for "Five Days in March", the 2nd Kenzaburo Oe Award for the novel collection "The End of Special Time We Allowed", the 27th Tsuruga Drama Award Selection Committee Special Award for Selection Committee, and the 27th Yomiuri Drama Award for "Pra Tanner: Portrait of Posisession" for "5 Days in March". His main books include "Theatrical theory for retroactive deformation" and "Current location" (both Kawade Shobo Shinsha). Since 2016, he has been producing repertoire works for four seasons of Germany's leading public theater, Munich Kanmarshpile, and in 2020 his latest work "The Vacuum Cleaner" was selected as one of the "10 notable works" at the German theater festival Theatertreffen.
