Creative Island Nakanoshima, one of the largest creative networks in Japan, is developing a variety of value creation through exchange planning by various cultural bases.
Last year, we started as a new exchange project between Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka and Art Area B1, and talked about the boundaries between art and design. In commemoration of the opening of Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, the venue will be moved to an art museum.
A producer who has been involved in the production of art programs such as the Sunday Art Museum for many years and has taken up the present of art, and a design expert who has been involved in promoting Japanese design and exploring the ideal way of design, will discuss the boundaries between art and design from their respective experiences and perspectives.
What is "art"? What is "design"? Simple questions will guide you to a world that is unexpectedly deep and complex.
※ Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka plans to hold an exhibition on the theme of "Boundaries between Art and Design" in spring 2023.
