The Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka and The Kansai Osaka 21st Century Association are pleased to present Osaka Directory 4 supported by RICHARD MILLE: KOTANI Kurumi.
Kotani has exhibited paintings that take a variety of approaches to the theme of traces and signs of existence. In the "21g" series, she depicts images that appear to have been drawn by a finger moving across a window covered in condensation. In the "Rust" series , iron rust that has permeated a support becomes a symbol of the passage of time and change.
This exhibition presents the artist’s practice from a variety of angles, focusing on new additions to her current series.
