Creative Island Nakanoshima is carrying out creative projects by artists active in Japan and overseas, set on the unique Avenue of Nakanoshima, Osaka.
Nakanoshima has been conducting research since 2018, and in the summer of 2024, "Stories of 15 Places in Nakanoshima" was completed by theatrical writer, novelist and Toshiki Okada, headed by the theater company chelfitsch.
This story is arranged at meeting points scattered in 15 places in Nakanoshima, and is a short story limited to each meeting point.
This time, the full text of this story was published in the literary magazine "Shincho" March 2025 issue. Please enjoy the scenery photos of the newly taken Nakanoshima. Okada said about this work, "This story has the greatest interest in actually going to the place and reading it."
Please visit Nakanoshima and enjoy a journey around the island, as well as an imaginary journey that blends an original story that weaves together the real and imaginary of the past, present, and future, with actual places.
