It has a collection of more than 6,000 works centered on artists related to Osaka such as Yuzo Saeki and Amedeo Modigliani, as well as modern and contemporary art and design around the world. An art museum with the largest gallery space in Kansai, characterized by a spacious Passage space. Designed by Katsuhiko Endo.


Friendly Museum

Based on the concept of "an art museum like a city where various people and activities intersect", we have multiple entrances and recreation areas such as lawn squares so that you can easily enter the building, familiar with the land of Nakanoshima. You can enjoy it only at shops and cafes without watching the exhibition.

Wide collection

Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka focuses not only on important modern and contemporary art works from Japan and abroad, but also on design works, collecting works by artists who are related to Osaka, where the museum is located. The collection ranges from Western painting, Japanese painting, and overseas modern painting, contemporary art, prints, photography, sculpture, and design.

Archives Information Office

The Archives Information Office is a facility for researching, researching and using information resources owned by the museum. The materials are released while collecting the history of art, materials for artists and works. It is rare for museums to open the collected materials to the general public, and one of the features of the museum.

Many shooting spots

There are popular shooting spots such as the atrium from the 1st to the 5th floor and the escalator that crosses. In particular, the second floor is surrounded by large window glass, so the way the outside light enters depends on the weather and time, and you may have a different impression every time you visit.
